So I got a witcher 3 key recently attempted to redeem it only to find absolutely nothing happened. no error, no invalid key, no temportary lock. After sending in a key to both GOG and the person I got the key from, I found the support page specifically mentioned this issue. At first I thought "Oh ok now that I know the issue then it should only be a few days at most to fix this issue and I can redeem my code"

Of course that was until I saw a post somewhere that this issue has been in progress..SINCE MAY?! MAY?! 5 MONTHS? Has no one been able to gift witcher 3 for 5 months?! or is this a constantly occuring issue? WIll I ever get my witcher 3 code to redeem or are the great people at GOG not even working on fixing this? Simply saying Soon (TM)?
Where did you get the 'gift' from exactly? That would help a lot.

edit: if you got it from G2A then I think you need a refund. Nobody has been able to attempt gifting, let alone get a gift key for that amount of time.
As far as I know, the only legitimate place that gives keys is Humble, and they are not classed as gifts.

They blocked gifting of TW3 because people were buying loads of gifts of it with stolen credit cards, then selling those gift codes on places like G2A and running off with the stupid G2A users' money before the card was reported stolen. So GOG blocked the buying of gift codes for TW3, presumably until this dies down.

Of course, that is a block on buying gift codes for TW3, not a block on redeeming already bought gifts (which would have to have been bought months ago). Your key not working is not directly related to the restriction on gifting, your key isn't working for some other reason.
So the question is, how did the person who gave you the key get it?
