when witcher 3 first launched i played it through. All was okay. Then i didnt touch game for a long time, now when heart of stone came out, my computer restarts randomly. this wont let me play. I have patch 1.11 and I got newest drivers for my gpu, but still nothing. I can only play 5-10 minits then its black screen and restart, nothing more. When I play other games then it wont restart. Gpu wont go over 70 degrees and cpu is 60 degrees. I used HWMonitor. Cheked out my memory and it was okey. I can play other games but i cant play witcher 3 again.

intel i7 4790
gpu r9 270x
RAM 16GB ddr3
motherboard gigabyte H87-HD3
PSU corsair 650W

Sounds like some hardware issue to me... Try running some benchmark programs to stress-test your system. If you can't reproduce it via other software, then it might indeed be caused by Witcher 3. Have you seen similar posts about this problem by others?
If the temperatures are okay, it might be an issue with the power supply. Try running a few benchmarks that put real stress on both GPU and CPU and see if the same happens.
Get OCCT and do power supply test first.

Sounds like there is not enough juice from the power supply.
Like the others say, might be the powersupply, however if the game freezes for half a second before restarting it's probably because the Witcher 3 doesn't like your gpu's overclocksettings and you can try downclocking it before buying new hardware.
Also the operating temps are a bit high, not alarming but these can spike quickly during gaming.

I downclocked my gpu little bit and I could play the game two hours without the crash. So maybe it helped. Thanks for the advise, just dont understand how could i too my first playtrough in june without the crash. I hope that this was the thing and it wont crash anymore. Thanks again

I heard that when the game launched the 970gtx gpu owners had a same problem. I downclocked my gpu little bit and i could play two hours without the crash. Hope this was the thing and game will be stabile
