mrkgnao: I refer to it (alongside the "second class" thread) from time to time, primarily when I'm debating whether to buy a presumably-DRM-free game on GOG or on steam. But I can certainly live without it, if it will save you some time.
Thank you for the feedback. For now I think I'll update it less often, since it was always meant to track long-running offenders anyway... and some offline installers lagging a week or two behind Galaxy builds is nothing to write home about on GOG, unfortunately.

Just to be clear, the data collection is fully automated and goes on in the background, so if at any point in time anyone has a curiosity or conundrum regarding stuff GOG isn't properly exposing on reporting on, feel free to ask and I'll see what I can do with my SQL-fu.

Thank you for supplying this service.

WinterSnowfall: Gotta ask, is anyone still interested in this kind of thing: https://airtable.com/shrldLsErlUf3eHqS ?

It's not that much of a pain to maintain, but I might let it go if it's not that interesting to anyone else. Might not be a lot of work, but it's a weekly kind of not a lot of work, so in the grand scheme of things it is... some work :P.

Can always generate it on demand if anyone is curios, btw.
I'm also using it from time to time to make sure I don't buy games whose offline installers aren't updated.

I bet more people would use it too if it were a bit more visible. It's not very apparent that you find a list like this in a thread with this headline. Something simple like 'List of GOG offline installers which aren't updated', or maybe just use the name of your list even, would make it easier for other forum dwellers to find it.

It's a nice resource to have along with the 'Games that treat GOG customers as second class citizens v2' list and 'DRM on GOG: list of single-player games with DRM'

I don't mind at all if you update it less often though. As you say it's the long-time offenders which are important. I don't mind if the offline installers are updated a little later, as long as they are updated. But if they're missing several updates or aren't updated at all, that's very good information to have.

Fair point, thanks. I guess it's time for it to sit in a forum thread of its own. Will do that.

Agreed. That's why I started looking into this in the first place ;).

If anyone was wondering, the Galaxy APIs were indeed down as well along with everything else, and are still rather flakey. I've done them the favor of halting my queries until the situation is resolved, so expect less insights until the problem is resolved.

A Galaxy build for Witcher 3 Complete Edition has showed up... the version is called 4.04a_Launcher.

If CDPR goes and starts adding launchers (and account requirements) to their games I'm going to be somewhat mad...

As of now offline installers are unaffected. I'm hoping maaaaybe it's a Galaxy only thing.

I havent replayed it yet on the new update but from what I know and have read the Witcher 3 have a launcher since day 1 of the new patch(4.0). I think they added cross platform saving to it to and this is the way to get logged in I assume(not to mention the drops). This update is probably related to the new accounts they(CDPR) want to make for everyone separately from GOG.

As Hirako_ mentioned the login is just for some 'My Rewards' stuff and cross progression cloud saves, and it's completely optional. On GOG it's done through Galaxy, and on other platforms they use something called REDlauncher.
If the game shortcut starts the launcher automatically you don't need to log in to start the game, and if you want to skip the launcher you can just run the game directly from the exe. There's probably two in the next-gen version, one for DX11 and one for DX12.
You used to need a GOG account for the login, but from March 5 they're migrating it to CD Project Red accounts instead, and this update is most likely just some preparation for that.
If you don't care about the 'My Rewards' stuff and cross progression there's probably no need to download this update at all.

Oh, I see. Well, I don't think GOG will get any special treatment from now onwards, looks like.

Just found this message from Xwitter by way of GOG user KarlMembert in another forum thread regarding the update:

CD Projekt Red CS (@CDPRED_Support)

We've just released a service update for @witchergame on PC to make the upcoming transition to CD PROJEKT RED accounts seamless. The update won't change the game version or affect mods.

Gotta leave something for future internet historians :P. No worries anyway.
