Now time for some plain English. It seems several seadogs (entrants) found it harder this year than last. I am sorry if it was difficult. It was not intended to be. So what I can do to make it easier and more fun for everyone?
All the challenge is asking is:
1) for an entrant to pick a pirate sounding name for the poster above them, and
2) to write a small story or verse about that poster as a pirate;
or to post a joke about pirates; or to use the insult generator link at the bottom of the first post and copy a pirate sounding insult to the thread in a friendly way.
If someone wants to put in a few Yarrs, Arrrs or Mateys, all the better. ;) It is simply supposed to be in fun and to be humorous, not difficult - so I am trying to think of how to make it better.
Ahoy there
capt'n 'gamer!
The names' sailor
Larrrkar.
Reporting me findings from the horizon:
It seems like this marked(bolded) ship of yours is sailing on different waters.

Now fer the Pirate's Challenge: For fun - Think up a pirate name and write a little pirate themed ditty (story, song, tall tale or joke)
about the rapscallion posting above you. Has that scurvy scoundrel perhaps stolen yer treasure, plundered yer grog, swooned the governor's beauties or escaped (or not) the hangman's noose (or that infernal cursed monkey)? […]
My understanding is that any story/song/joke/pirate-insult should be
aimed (
hello there cannon ball)
towards that scoundrel before you.
Ye don't want messin' with the wrong capt'n y'know?
Else yer be goin' straight to
Davy Jones’ Locker.

Serious mode On:
I'm not saying that people are scared of ticking one another. (the spirit was about messing around, having fun afterall)
More like uncomfortable perhaps?
I mean, if it was about you or anyone that is not specicfic — you're more likely to go out without any reservations.
Anyway, beyond those, what I really want to point out, is that — you may have phrased the OP a bit different from what you intended.
