Spider-web RPGs and RollerCoaster Tycoon?

I suppose it's ok. ¯\(°_°)/¯
Flash-sales and bundle-wise, still nothing for me. I hope for a better weekend.
I did buy the bullfrog bundle, mostly for Dungeon Keeper.

One very nice thing is that it didn't count a game I already owned in the bundle while still keeping the same bundle discount on everything else.

That's how it always works, what you already own counts towards the discount.
This sale is definitely no Insomnia. So far, I've bought only the two games from the Bullfrog bundle that were missing from my library.

There's plenty of time to make a rational decision about each game. My wallet is happy... But I want Insomnia back!

i like the extra time that you get, you have time to sleep.

its very, very difficult to make rational decisions after 36 hours without sleep

But that's the whole point... Rational decisions kill all the fun! :)

I'm with you there. Just not much excitement here, apart from the opening salvo. All I've grabbed so far are the Mount & Blade games, one wishlist item (A Golden Wake) and one impulse buy (1849). No sleep lost, but no corresponding passion stoked either.

I guess that's the idea...

so you like action and sleep deprivation?

how about a career in the us marine corps as a special ops operator?

so which games did you buy because of sleep deprivation?

Quite so, quite so old chap.

I missed Sang Froid and I only regret it slightly, because I don't care much for Tower Defense games.

What about FTL? I've heard that one of its main strengths is that it makes you want to say "Make it so" every time before you enter a command.
During the Insomnia Sales, some games fly so fast, you have to go with your first impulse. Then, with games that "Keane", you have people who buy them just to make them go away. The downside to the Flash Sales, from a money-making standpoint, is that you have plenty of time to talk yourself out of buying something.

My wallet (and my wife) are much happier with this fact, but there are definitely games I might have bought if I knew they were "flying off the shelves". While I enjoy the extra sleep, I miss the frantic excitement of the Insomnia Sales. Maybe GOG will do a Winter Insomnia Sale this year instead of the standard winter sale?
I wonder if there's any chance to get Neverwinter at flash sale... :/

Doubtful, it didn't happen in the summer sale. Neverwinter was only part of the D&D bundle.
