And he knows it, and enjoys it. ;-D

And on that note, I'm taking a break, hoping that a game I've been waiting all day long doesn't make an appearance while I'm away.

Metacritic give it 83. I haven't played any of the Blackwell titles (so I could be talking out of my rear end) but they look good and have apparently intelligent and rewarding stories. Sounds like you might have played the first ones, so if you liked those (and give Metacritic reviews any credence) I doubt if you'd be taking much of a risk at the current price.

All right, I no longer have to go, "Hey, there's Zafehouse Diaries again, I wonder if it's worth a couple bucks" and repeat the same godsdamned mental debate I've had at least 4 times now.
Also, the whole "you might also like this" part when you buy a game is such a pain in the ass. All it did was remind me of how many open series I have. -laughs-

Stilton: I just read that through - really good. Terrific atmosphere. I could see heavy skies and rocky outcrops, blood and bonding, peoples trying to survive. Loads of depth. Excellent.

That's the closest I've come to vomiting laughter and passing arse-destroying wind at the same time all week. Please put out a warning next time.

penumbren: That was lovely! Getting the right sort of rhythm and tone for a good saga is really difficult, and not many people I know can do it. (Being in the SCA means that I do know more than one person who has written a saga, which is a little bit funny if you think about it.)

+1 for the saga and for the sharing of it, as I know it takes quite a bit for us creative people to actually give our creations the light of day sometimes. :)

Fortunately not, all is quiet in that department.

But it has been raining nonstop for almost 36hrs now, with clouds so heavy that we barely had a few hours of daylight today.
