It says the code is invalid for some reason the Steam code redeemer cannot accept it. I cannot even get the game?

Sorry someone else gave me a HumbleBundle code for Steam and I sent to my hotmail account that I use for steam and I cannot access my account because its showing me these requirements to protect my account like a phone number and country of origin because I have not accessed my own hotmail account in a long time. And I don't have a phone.

Can you buy as gift Insurgancy from Steam itself and ignore HumbleBundle entirely please........( I know you are gonna say no...)
