...by Sony today, by announcing both the "Ico & Shadow of the Colossus" and the "God of War Origins" collections to be released on 13 and 28 September respectively. The GoW collection will contain the two PSP titles, probably signaling the end of the PSP era with Vita arriving soon.

With the MGS and ZOE collection coming up (and let me guess hat next year we'll have another MGS collection release, with the two other PSP titles), can we really hope for a "Kingdom Hearts" collection as well?

PS: Fuck, I need to say this: As a customer, I feel totally disrespected seeing FFIV (complete with the "The After Years" game) for 35 euros on the european PSN. I refuse to touch this game and I wonder if there's been any talk around the PS fora about the price.
Apparently a Silent Hill HD collection is in the works as well.

On one hand, reviving GOGs is a great thing, else we all wouldn't be here. On the other hand, it does point to a stagnation of sorts.

Nice find.....I love those games. I wonder if they'll do a true HD remake with all new high res textures and movies, or if they'll do a sloppy upscaling job on everything.

I saw videos for ICO and Shadows, I thought they looked better but not nearly as good as they could have. It's great younger gamers will get access to these now without owning a PS2, they really were outstanding, but while they aren't the worst excuses for HD remakes I've ever seen they're still not great.

EDIT: I should note, it seems the whole point of these is to put the Sony 3D crap in them, I expect those not interested in 3D gimmick will not really get as much out of the remakes.

If the games can be played with better graphics without using the 3d feature i'll still enjoy them.

Amazon has it for $20.00 here, which is the price point I have been looking for. Will probably snag it soon.

IIRC, Silent Hill (as well as the rest of the Konami packs) are getting released for the 360 as well, which lacks 3d support. I don't think they are pushing 3d with these titles.
