To those staying in the US, Australia and Europe, and who own boxed copies of AA, does it just come in a simple DVD box with the disc and manual? Is it more worth it to buy the Steam version?

I bought it in India, and there it had a manual (small) and disc+box
Besides, u effectively need Games for Windows Live to play it, so i'd say Steam is a good bet

I have the box version of the original, it has a normal manual for this day and age, nothing special. The "game of the year" stuff on PC is pointless though, as far as I can tell, so a cheap copy of the original version should be just as good with no Steam DRM, if you care.
There are US copies on amazon for under $20, but I'm not sure how that works in Singapore.

Well Arkham Asylum is one of the few games released that deserve the Game Of The Year title for reason of quality rather than because they think the general public won't react well to the word "Compilation", "Collection" or "Now with extra bits"

Cool thanks. I've decided to go with the Steam version. I do like holding on to a physical copy of the game, but don't really see the point if it's more expensive and doesn't add any more value on top of the game itself.

Does anyone get some flickering when using the Detective mode and binoculars? See the screenshots below. I think it is from the game, but I just want to be sure it's not my graphics card.

Another thing: I am in Intensive Care, going to hunt for Killer Croc, when the asylum's message system sounds and says "Did you catch the game last night", and all of a sudden I become the Joker.
Now I get screen flickering as shown below, before the cutscene where Joker drives the Batmobile plays. This is normal, right? All part of the game? Googling says even the X360 players are getting the same thing as well, but just to make sure. Can't be too careful about hardware artifacts lol.

Haha I remember that. I thought the game crashed, so I restarted it like I normally do, and it happened again. It took me like 3 or 4 tries to realize that it was supposed to happen.
