i was rummaging through my old stack of CD's and i found a ton of games GoG has for download, i kinda like the convineance of the digital platform and i was wondering if it was at all possible to add my games to gog like steam will let you..

Thanks a bunch gents
GOG doesn't have any sort of central launcher app, so I'm not sure what you mean by "adding your games to GOG", unless you want to be able to re-download them from your account?

If so, then the answer is no. GOG won't host your files for free and I'm pretty sure Steam doesn't do that either.

Personally, when I come across a game on GOG that I already own in physical format and that I'd rather have it in GOG format, I just rebuy it, since they're all pretty cheap anyway.
I wouldn't even know how they would begin managing to do that.

How do you suppose that works? Getting a key database from every publisher for all their games, assuming they would even still have those, so they can check your old keys against their database? Heck, did those games even have keys? How would you prove you own it? Send a video? And then hand over the game to a friend so he can send his?

And then what? They allow you to leech all those games for the benefit of what exactly? Adding more users to their service who may or may not buy a game some time in the future?

Things like this are usually worked out with developers/publishers before they are even released. They're rarely backwards compatible.

Well, in a sense you can, since you can buy them or get them as gifts. Other than that, it isn't possible.
