Depends on the god people are suggesting. Anything from the classical biblical god, the older gods that came and went as our understanding of the universe grew, peoples personal ideas of god and god purely defined into existence.

This reminds me of the Time Travel Fund or something similarly titled.

The premise was that if time travel is made possible, donating $5 to the fund supposedly lets someone come back in time to answer questions you have, give you tons of money, etc. Of course this hinges on the timeline theory (No paradox) being absolutely wrong.

Although we know its just a scam to get idiots away from their money.

See, here's a bit of a conundrum. The only way other people would be able to take care of your pets after the rapture, is if these other people will not be part of the rapture themselves. That means they'd be sinners and probably liars as well. What are the odds they'll stick to their word?
