I've been buying so much stuff off Steam/GOG/Amazon, I'm on "rehab" and I'm not going to buy a single game for six months. It's kind of extreme, but it wasn't me who suggested it. So any of you not buying anything like games/movies/useless stuff for a period of time?

No, the economy is not going to recover if everyone just hordes their money. I say spend it while it's still worth anything.

I'm sort of the same, I'm not counting DLC though.

If I didn't count DLC, I think I'd end up spending more on DLC than actual games, buying all the songs for Rock Band I could.

I've tried to do that a couple of times but I just can't seem to stick to it. Now I don't smoke or anything like that but I imagine that my trying to "quit" games for a while is akin to it. I'm a glutton for punishment and repeatedly fail in this endeavor. Since I hate failing at anything when it is avoidable I've just surrendered to the blissfull euphoria that is PC gaming.
BTW good luck to you in you quest. If you are looking for some kind of support circle or something I cannot help you.

Screw the economy. If I don't have money then it can go hang. I would love to see people not buy anything but the neccessities for like a week. I love hearing economists bitch and moan about how the economy is tanking.
