Not at all. I still haven't found a game about the walking dead that gets it just right yet.
Dead Linger might be the one, but we shall see.

Left 4 Dead are not zombie characters. They are not dead.

'World War Z' might be the worst zombie movie in ages. You go from brilliant takes on the genre like 'The Dead', 'Fido' and 'Exit Humanity' to 'World War Z'. What a quality devolution.

I loved 'Warm Bodies' by the way.

Better zombies than sparkly vampires. Or sexually-naive middle-aged women with a masochistic streak.

nijuu: Whats next? werewolves?
Why not?
not me
Nope. Zombies ftw! Well, at least I avoid the shitty trash movies like World War Z.

RaggieRags: I'm sick and tired of the entire undead fad to be honest. There's something unsettling in people's fascination with zombies. Where is this coming from? Do people feel so isolated and displaced from other human beings they see everyone else as brainless masses out to get you?
As someone who lives within spitting distance of the Ohio/PA border, I don't get it either.
I totally am. Anything with zombies as its major selling point just gets ignored by me since I know the developers will usually go the lazy route and just make a shooter game with millions of samey enemies utilizing the simplest AI and pathfinding available. There's a very distinct lack of other kinds of undead, too. Where's the vampire-hunting games where you have to outwit draculas that are ten times as powerful as your character? Or how about a game about getting lost in the woods and encountering various kinds of cryptids? I'd play the hell outta that.

the_atm: I don't know, am I in the minority here of people wanting to get rid of zombies? is anyone else sick of them yet?
You're not the only one, I've always disliked zombies.
I still like zombies. And I really enjoyed WWZ. And I really liked Warm Bodies except the last 20 minutes. That movie was so original (to me, at least), and then jumped on the band wagon for the last part.

I like the old campy stuff, the newfangeld high-tech stuff, the games, the movies, etc. I just don't live and breathe it. But when I feel like a zombie flick, it's easy to find one now.

How is that possible? That movie was horrible. I like zombies, but I really hated that movie. I am looking forward to the new The Walking Dead season to start.

Sick of zombies, never. Sick of seeing stupid zombie movies or shows without a doubt.

I am sick of seeing the Twilight type of Vampire. Can we get more of the Nosferatu type of vampire and less of the VILFs currently airing. And speaking of Vampires, when is the next Underworld movie coming out with the ever so lovely VILF, Kate Beckinsale.

There's a new show called Dracula that is coming October 25th, it looks pretty good. A bit like Game of Thrones so expect action, nudity and political schemes but with vampires in a Victorian England setting. While it seems to try to be more mature than your typical VILF it does only seem slightly so.

While I am looking forward to it, its on NBC so no nudity there. It will be interesting to see John Rhys Myers playing Dracula. He was excellent as Henry VIII in Tudors. Thanks for reminding me though, as it slipped my mind and I haven't seen many ads promoting it (Though I don't watch many shows on NBC). Must remember to program my DVR.
Well, maybe not explicit nudity but at least subtle sexual innuendos. :P

I'm also looking forward to see John Rhys in action, he looks like a decent actor as long as he has a good role.

Absolutely love State of Decay, and really looking forward to Dead State, so no, I'm not done with Zombies yet :)

They've yet to make really great Zombie games as I want them though, good survival games. But the above two are good strides in the right direction.

tinyE: Night of the Living Dead was on TCM last night. Oh yeah, I watched it.
In fact this thread reminds me I need to renew my Michigan State Zombie Hunting Permit. In case you think I'm joking about that, they sell them on Amazon. Go look. :D
Rifftrax is doing Night of the Living Dead on the 24th. I may or may not see it but their last one, Starship Troopers, was pretty hilarious so I hope I can afford it by then.
Maybe deep down people hate other people and happy to see them became monsters? But they also filled with hope we can saw in good guy protagonists who tried to escape?
