SladeStrife: EDIT: Topic was suppose to say "Artemis: spaceship bridge simulator". I copied the wrong bit of text when creating the title lol
Has anyone else given this a shot? I recently picked it up and have been playing with a few friends, and i gotta say as a Star Trek fan. This is the game i have been waiting for. Each person has a task and it must be played co-op. Which could be alittle frustrating, but thats the beauty of it. Everyone must work together.
I just thought i would let space nuts like myself know about this gem. It was just released on steam, but there website has a DRM free copy as well.
crazy_dave: Nice to see you around again!
I've tried it - I think it is a neat idea, in fact when the iPad first came out I thought it would be really cool to have a Star Trek control scheme game on this thing. While Artemis is a good first stab, I feel that it requires *a lot* of polish to fully realize its potential with the number of bugs I encountered and odd or incomplete UI/game mechanic decisions, etc ...
I think if someone does make a fully polished type of that game (or if the developer does it himself, I think it is one guy), it could be a huge success.
they recently had a patch that came out in the last few weeks that added a toooon of fixes and everything. the demo i very far behind the full game the UI was updated the AI was as well =^.^= i highly recommend it as the space nut i am lol and you know how nuts i am bout space games :D

BreOl72: That description reminds me on a boardgame, that I own: Space Cadets
http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/123096/space-cadets Description:
It's your lifelong dream – to join the Star Patrol and be part of the crew of an interstellar Starship. You've worked hard, graduated from the academy, and received your first assignment as part of a team of young recruits, confident in your training and ready to be put to the test. Nothing can possibly go wrong as you are prepared for anything... You are the Space Cadets. Space Cadets is a fun and frantic cooperative game for 3-6 players who take on the roles of Bridge Officers of a Starship. Each officer must accomplish his specific task in order for the team to successfully complete the mission. You might be the...
Helmsman, plotting the ship's course through asteroid fields and nebulae.
Engineer, using dominoes to get enough power to each system.
Weapons Officer, completing puzzles to load the torpedoes and flicking a disc down a track to launch them.
Shield Officer, using tiles to form poker hands to get the strongest shields.
Sensor Officer, using your sense of touch to scan and lock on enemy targets.
Captain, setting the plan and making sure that everyone stays focused and does their job.
If your crew can work together to accomplish the mission goals, you just might make it home in one piece.
