No doubt she's cluey and has more backbone than the KRuddmeister, but her chanting the mantra of 'value for money' in spite of numerous reports of overcharging in the 'Rorting the Education Revolution' doesn't bode well for much in the way of change.
Evidentally during her university days she stood so far to the left you needed a telescope to see her.... presumably any associated agendas will remain under wraps until after the election.

If she only does one thing, it wish it will relate to scrapping the internet filter nonsense and kicking Conroy out on the street. No opinion on her yet, unlike the negative feelings I had towards Rudd (even before the last election).

But yes, given Australia's luck with politicians, I can see how any change at all is potentially a change for the better.

Labor's a tricky bugger. In case KRudd fails, get a good backup plan. Australia's first FEMALE PM. Bound to get votes before the crucial election there. And what's that? Super profits mining tax? Didn't they cancel those ads? Oh yeah, sounds like a good conspiracy theory; Gillard pressured by right wing, pro-mining factions to oust the ever so unpopular KRudd.
