So, what do you guys think of this game? Has anyone here preordered it? Played the console demo?
Personally, I'm kinda ticked that there were only a limited number of keys for the PC beta - I want to play the beta to make sure it's worth preordering, but now there's no way to play the beta without preordering.

I absolutely love it but then I practically lived in a place called 'Kharkand' when Battlefield 2 was at it's prime.
In my opinion arguably one of the greatest shooter series ever, fantastically honed multiplayer mahem incorporating large maps, vehicles and player number successfully, something that other games have tried and failed.
This iteration of the series is a bit cartoony and easy going compared to Battlefield 2 but I put that down to the strong console roots the franchise has put down in both the first Bad Company and subsequently the 1943 'arcade' game.
I also think that the frostbite engine, whilst looking spectacular isn't the most fluid when it comes to the shooting especially coming away from games like Call of Duty which have been deliberately streamlined to provide a very, very fast gameplay style but overally it's a nice game.
I'm really hoping the PC gets a new, slighty more hardcore version game in the vein of Battlefield 2, soon, though.
Interestingly enough, I have a copy of the Battlefield 2 Complete Collection, but I haven't really been able to play it - there are pretty much no game servers in my area, and it does very poor lag compensation. How does B:BC2 do from that perspective - does it want an extremely low-latency (<75ms) connection, or can it live with worse (>150ms)?

From personal experience I'd have to admit that it too needs a lower latency bracket* however I'm quite sensetive to lag issues in games myself and I'm quite the demanding drama queen when everyting isn't running as smoothly as possible so I can't help you more than that I'm afraid, sorry! :P
*Experienced the game from a friends PC and off of an Xbox console, both systems have different approaches to finding games etc.
Dude, like, there's totally a thread for that.
