how many of you guys like to drink beer while you play games?

and what is your favorite beer!
Used to drink a glass of wine, or a few ciders while enjoying LOTR2. Cider would be strongbow, the wine, normally a chiraz (yellowtail is particularly nice)

I love Strongbow as well. Sadly, it's almost impossible to get here. Occasionally I take a detour on my way home from work and go to The Dubliner, an Irish bar in central Copenhagen, where they have it on tap.

Since I had to go gluten free the only kind beer that tastes okay and that I can drink is the Widmere Omission line, I've been digging their lager this summer, their pale ale is actually not that great as pale ales go.

Before then, Smithwick's, anything from Pelican (especially their Scottish Style Ale), Lagunitas has a really balanced IPA as well as a Copper Head (or copper something) that I like. We have lots of local breweries here, New Old Lompoc brews great beer and so does Gustav's.

And of course, drinking and gaming ftw!

Sadly, cider is a very rare commodity over here. Which is a terrible shame.

Otherwise, I stick to my homeland and drink pretty much exclusively Czech lagers with my games. I usually prefer darker brews (Kozel, Krušovice and Svijany consistently make the best dark mass-produced beers); one of the regional breweries (Primátor) even brews a lovely stout that isn't quite Guinness, but it's at least a lot cheaper. But there are a lot of decent beers to be bought here, unsurprisingly.

So, do you mainland europeans not have apples? I read of Elks getting pissed on the stuff in Norway, why is the trade so small?

We have a fuckton of apples. Pressed apple juice is actually widely available in many stores, but never fermented. That's just something we historically do not do, for some reason.

Though it is getting better; there is now a small-scale producer of a delicious, original Czech cider, but it's pretty rare finding a pub that has it (and the one I knew about closed down recently). So it's not entirely hopeless.
Usually on Saturday nights I'll have beer, listen to music, and play Guild Wars for about six hours straight. On those nights, I drink Natural Ice - not a strong taste (after the first one it's like drinking water) and I'm just drinking it to get buzzed anyway.

But otherwise, my favorites are Guinness and Boddington's Pub Ale.
Never -___-
I'm not huge drinker, but I like to unwind in the evenings with some Budwiser, Bud light platinum, Pina colada, Mike's hard lemonade or Fuzzy navel. Depends on what game I am in the mood to play & what to drink depending on what's available.
I can't stand the taste of regular beer, so I drink radler or pear cider.

I used to get hammered while playing World of Warcraft around 2006ish. I was a healer and I did a piss poor job keeping everyone alive due to being wasted.

I tended to drink Coronas during WoW raids. LOTS of Coronas. God, the hangover the next day was hell.
Not that often, but once in a bluemoon one or two 0.33 l Sandels (not sandals) while playing some relaxing game.

I don't know what is my favourite beer, I'm omnivorous. As long as it is (light) lager. Stouts etc. I'll happily pass, they are like drinking porridge.
