Did he finance this with his own money, or public funds?

If it's his money, I don't understand the fuss...

Having sex with underage prostitues is wrong, building a cave? Not so much.

Well building a water cave is also illegal for enviromental reasons, so he alleged it was made for security purposes.

Avogadro6: Maybe I'm having some huge reading comprehension issues, but where does it say public funds were used? I read all three "articles" and there's no trace of that.

"Mientras Silvio Berlusconi deshoja la margarita de su regreso a la primera división de la política, se han conocido unas fotografías de la gruta secreta que, con cargo al erario público, se construyó allá por 2004 en Villa Certosa"

Here they said that it was built in 2004 using public funds (dunno if partially). Apparently the spend was detected some years ago and he tried to justify himself claiming it was based on a recommendation made by the secret services after many death threats.
Wouldn't it be cheaper if he would stop behaving like a douche for 10 seconds? Seems less expensive than building an entire cave.
I really hate my country. We have no money at all, there are no work places, and people like Berlusconi steal our money to go with prostitutes and things like that.
The state and parliament on Italy are completely useless.
This is what happens, when you stick to death threats and never actually deliver.
I'm not impressed. I was expecting shark aquariums and stuff!

That's it? A random ass sentence without even citing sources? You know that's funny, because the left-wing media would be all over his throat if he really did that, this is exactly the kind of news that would be too good to be true for them - if it were true. And yet nobody is talking about that, and I can't find any other reference from english media either. Curious, isn't it? Besides, the man literally shits money, using public funds for this would be incredibly stupid even by his standards.

What he's accused of is breaking a good number of bulding and environmental regulations, wich he most likely has, but that's a matter the local attorney should pursue, not the tabloids.

wormholewizards: He's a very wealthy & powerful man. The type of villain you always see on movie.
He actually was a villain in an episode of Law and Order. I facepalmed so hard my hand almost broke.
