It's a popular game, I'm pretty certain that they are looking into it already. The problem with all licensed games is that the rights situation is often complicated. Re-releasing BotF would not only require the permission of whoever currently holds the rights to the game, but also of whoever currently holds the rights to the Star Trek franchise. Unfortunately, huge franchises like Star Trek usually have little interest in re-releasing old games, and little understanding of why doing so might be a good idea. They also may have given exclusive rights to release franchise-related games to a different company in the meantime.

In short, don't hold your breath.

Everyone should go spam Paramount marketing department and point them to GOG!
