Birthdays are black. soulless days filled with misery and woe. I spend mine in a darkened room, contemplating my mortality.

Twas my birthday yesterday... I did bugger all. I would've taken the day off work, but I wasn't really in a position to do so.
Haven't had a party/celebration/whatever since I was about 13 or 14 (15 or 14 years ago! >_>)

I actually really dislike celebrating birthdays. Yeah yeah, if you want an excuse to party, just party. Don't drag the position of the planet around the sun into it.

Same opinion of holidays. You want to eat dry tasteless bird? That's fabulous. Leave me out of it.

Happy Birthday!

Generally, if it's a week day, I take the day off work -- birthdays are for being lazy =). Then it's out for a meal with the family (either lunch or dinner depending on whether the children are at school or not).

Usually I will spend my time with friends or family if I have the time. This year I will fly to Moscow.

You celebrate the festival of days ending in y, on every day that ends with y, that's respectable and is to be commended you manage to keep up with the faith!
