The Internet and Steam will collapse within 12 days. Oh, fuck.
Awesome stuff. The soundtrack is available too, for free/PWYC.
w00t! First Duke Nukem Forever, and now this.

I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

No, I was referring to the vaporware status of both projects, and the fact that they eventually got a release anyway. I haven't even tried DNF. But I really am looking forward to Black Mesa.

Ah.
Ha, a few days after I go back to Europe. Fuuuuuuck.
Apparently it will still be a work in progress but the release of what has already been done, not sure.
Hmmm...to be honest the enthusiasm has gone now. Bear in mind too that this is not a full release, but only up to the "Lambda Core" section, which is around three-quarters of the original game.

Unlike Georgia apparently, we do have working internet.

As the page doesn't work, does anyone know if they did the whole Half-Life/Opposing Force/Blue Shift or just Half-Life?

It's 'just' Half-Life. There are other some other groups working on remaking Opposing Force and Blue Shift - have a look around on ModDB
Ah. Something to look forward to. :)
Sorry I've been living under a rock. What is this? Judging by the title, I presume it has something to do with Half-life.

Is it HL2: Episode 3? Half-life 3? A spinoff? A free-2-play MMORPG set into Half-life universe? A user made fan mod for Half-life 2, a bit like DayZ (for ARMA 2)?

I guess I could google, but it is funnier this way because google doesn't give back smartass replies.

EDIT: Ok, I Wikipedied it. I can't tell if I have heard about it before. Maybe, but I've just dismissed it. So it is a free Half-life 1 remake, running on Half-life 2 engine? Nice, I guess...

Well, Black Mesa is going to be released in phases and not as a all-in-one singleplayer package. Meh...
