I'm really close on pulling the trigger on Blackguards Special Edition and Heroes 3. But, what is so special about the Special Edition? Does it include the DLC?

It doesn't look like it's included, it seems to be the name for GOG's 'base' version of the game. I think they might have named it that because it did have part of the extra's the 'Deluxe' Edition Steam has, but not all of it.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking.

Wow, looking at Steam, you can get Blackguards + DLC for the same price as the base version here on GOG. Shame. I guess I'll pass on this version for now.

Heh. Whereas here (Ireland), the GoG version is cheaper due to $=€ on Steam.

Perhaps it is a special edition because it is DRM free?

It does include a soundtrack as well, though I would prefer to have any and all DLC to be available here, I'm still planning on getting the GoG version. Hesitating on getting it now for budget reasons, as I'm more focused on getting some movies rather than games.
