I'm reposting this here as well as the Broken Sword forum because I want to warn other customers.
I want my money refunded for the Broken Sword Serpents Curse Season Pass. The first part downloaded in December, but the second part was said by Revolution to be available on GOG at 6.00 pm today British time. GOG changed the 2 separate icons onto one an hour after that time and did not indicate that this was merely the first part again on either the icon (which claimed it was the Season Pass) or the downloading section. I downloaded the first part again under deception and therefore lost a large portion of my data allowance from my provider. I paid money for that allowance and do not have unlimited downloads. The new download of part one has a corrupted text and has obliterated my first version of the game. I am horrified by the whole experience and may not have enough data left to download part two or reinstall part one. This is shameful and a real attack on the gaming ethics this site professes. Beware of it in future.
Sucks to be you.

Still, this isn't a warning, it's a rant. Nothing wrong with that, just saying.

So GOG, you cheat people out of their download money, then attack them on the forum for 'ranting'. This is fast ceasing to be a legitimate business and becoming a haven for trolls. Yes, it does suck to be one of your customers.

err...

a) I'm not GOG. I wish I had all the games here at my disposal, though.
b) I might have misunderstood, and I can't check as I haven't bought that game, but you're saying that they mislabeled something and you downloaded before it was fixed, so you ended up with the wrong file. Well, that sucks for you. Still, if they already renamed the file now, then your warning is obsolete and you are only venting in the forum. Again, nothing wrong with that, shit happens and we need to let go some steam.

That wasn't GOG answering you, Nicozka, it was a forum member. And you weren't attacked, he/she was just saying that you had a bad experience and you were angry and venting, nothing more as you ought to realize.

As far as your being cheated, why not keep your cool and contact GOG directly about this? They usually bend over backward to resolve problems whenever they can.
if P1na was from GOG,his(hers)username would be blue and from waht I'm understandind as Licurg said, youproblably have a corrupted file, and this is not GOG fault

My post was quite clear and its intention was to warn off other potential customers. GOG re-presented the icon on this game to indicate that it was both parts at precisely the time the secnd part was widely announced as available. They did not indicate that the download available was not the second part. It is still not the second part. I wasted money and download time because of their misinformation, and the first part of the game they have just re-labellled is corrupt and corrupted the first version I downloaded from them in December. i will certainly approach them directly, but it is equally important to warn other customers.
I assumed that anyone defending GOG under these circumstances would have to be working for them, but if not they have an aggressive and strangely GOG-biased way of expressing themselves. I don't mind if my complaint is characterised as a rant providing it warns off other customers.

so why do you go off all out war against gog instead of maybe taking it up with the gog support or the broken sword support, afetr all ure a customer and therefor are elligible to use the customer support hence its name

Question, do you mean that the "new" setup files have the same filename as the old one? If they are different, no corruption of the old should happen, if they are the same, then your cache (probably) hasn't caught up with the change. Do an account refresh and see if the installer is different.

No it's not, please stop claiming it is (or at least indicate that you only bothered to update the windows version).
The mac version has been merged and marked with "season pass" but it's still only episode 1.
You clearly state in this thread that you won't release it until tomorrow mid day

They are different, the old ones were setup_broken_sword_5_episode_1_x.x.x.x* while the new ones are setup_broken_sword_5_2.0.0.2.* ; no idea how downloading the new one could corrupt the old ones.
(Note: haven't finished the download yet, so no Idea if the new installer works or not)
