"A-10 Cuba!" was an Activision release.
That is all.
Was there a point to that? I'm thinking it could continue in almost any way, from A) "...so therefore Activision sucks", to B) "...which was brilliant, so let's get it on GOG already".
I always wondered...do you need to license the likeness of the airplane from Lockheed-Martin or Ilyushin for these kinds of sim game, like you need licenses from Toyota or Ford for a racing game?

Rule of thumb : if you use a real-world company name in a game, you will need a license...at least in the US. I am not sure about other countries, though.

Yes you do. In the case of the A-10 Warthog you need Fairchild-Republic. The good news is that defence contractors are not very fussy about licences. The chances are they would allow A-10 to be re-released. They like seeing their planes blowing up things.
