hedwards: That's a good point, I probably should have pointed out that it's Firefox 4 on Linux, I've seen it on both 32bit and 64bit versions.
For whatever reason it seems to be a lot more prevalent today, than it has been with most of my posts doing it.
OK, let's try that again, hopefully third time's a charm.
Namur: hedwards, i've been paying attention to my posting in regards to this issue these past few days and none of my posts got eaten. I also haven't seen anyone else mentioning this issue.
Any chance it's something at your end causing this ? A plugin or something like that ? Have you given a different browser a go ?
Doubtful, it could be a Firefox specific issue, but I've seen the problem crop up on several independent installs. Several flavors of Linux both x86 and amd64, Windows and some of those installs I hadn't installed any plug ins. In fact the worst case I had involved I definitely hadn't installed any plug ins.
Part of why nobody else is mentioning it is that it's subtle, if you aren't paying attention you're not necessarily going to notice that it didn't post. I know that I didn't notice it until I started specifically checking to see if my posts were posting. Mysteriously enough the thread would reflect the correct posting time, but not contain that last post. Which leads me to suspect that the problem isn't on my end, otherwise the server shouldn't be updating the timestamp and order based upon a non-existent post.
