Ok guys, I'm looking for a game. I played it I think back in 2000 or so.

The game is in 3D, third-person, GTA-sandbox style and it's set on Mars. You could do whatever you want, drive cars, etc and you would pick up missions which were given by three separate groups. The more missions you would do for one group, the better relationship with them and the other two would hate you.

The only thing I remember is that you can do missions for Goverment, a religious/science cult and I think for anti-goverment resistance group.

The one mission that I still remember was I had to kill a politician (mayor or chief of police) who was attending a police station. I rememebr using a high-power sniper rifle to kill him.

I think the starting cinematic shows you coming to Mars from Earth.
Also, I believe the game was made in Australia.

Anyone knows which game I am talking about?
Red Faction?

F1ach: Red Faction?
Nope. I played Red Faction recently.
Sounds like Freedom Fighters but that wasn't on Mars
Hmmm. I remember there being a game that I'm pretty sure took place on Mars, and Henry Rollins did voice-acting in it, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called.

edit: Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter. ??

Nope, it was 3rd person game, sandbox style. Mace was 1st person.

@mrking, nope, Freedom Force is set on Earth and you battle Soviets.

Anyone else? The game was very good.
