It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

It just wont let me buy any game from here, with my card or paypal. It gives me an error after going through paypals payment screen and it says "Something went wrong" then it tells me its on my banks side which cant be true because i can buy things from every other website in existence.

Check if your card details are correctly added, you may have some mistake in it, check if card is still valid, it may have expired without you noticing it, check if you have enough money on the card to buy what you want to, as an empty card could also cause problems.
Just in case, if you're paying through PayPal check your account there to see in there were any transaction first. I remember a case very similar to yours where the person got the same error and tried again and again. Later he noticed that the purchases were indeed succesful and ended with at least 3 copies of the same game. He later had to contact Support to void those purchases.
My card is still valid and has not expired, it also has been correctly entered into paypal. I have also checked my paypal account and no purchases were made.

I also have sufficient funds in my card.

I occasionally get this problem using the "pay via debit card" option with paypal - usually turns around using another browser. I usually use firefox, but find when I use Opera, I dont get the error at the same time.
Don't know why either.
I reported it to GOG support, but didnt get any useful info back.

Anyways, give that a go and see if it helps. I usually find this problem to vanish after 24 - 48 hours.
As I don't like to use everywhere a credit/debit card, I use paysafecard

www.paysafecard.com

For me it works really nicely.

And nice advantage as well, you can not buy more than you have on your card ;) (So works like prepaid)

Do you use some adblockers, popupblockers similar? They might have something to do with it as well.

Have you actually tried just using your card to pay directly here at GOG? The reason I'm asking is that you only seem to describe PayPal issues in your posts.

no, they have nothing to do with it - try a different browser as I suggested (its a paypal problem).
Well you forced me to do it. I had to purchase a game just to make sure! It did work. Some issues I have had in the past:

- Ensure the 3 or 4 digit security code is entered correct. I believe American Express has a four digit code not embedded in the card, and it is above the last four in the card, printed, not stamped. For Visa and Mastercard, it should be a 3 digit code on the back of the card, under the magnetic stripe, and sometimes it will be at the end of the signature line.

- Ensure no typos in the name, as the name has to match the credit card. This includes middle initials!

- Ensure proper selection (credit card vs paypal etc)

- Drop down menus sometimes do not work, so start to type them in.

If all else fails, email GOG Support to let them know you are having an issue. They may be able to assist thereafter.

All has failed. I have contacted GOG support. I know for a fact that i am entering all the information correct, i had recently purchased something off of G2A with paypal and had no issues.

I've had this problem since the beginning of the sale. I have tried using my card directly and through paypal through Chrome, Firefox, and i installed Opera and tried it on there and it did not work.
Perhaps you 'love' the games too much?

Hence, money can't buy you love!
Check with your bank. They may be blocking the transaction. GOG is registered in Cyprus and I believe I've read on these boards before that some US banks will flag GOG as a scam site due to their location unless the customer contacts them and lets them know it's legit.

I don't understand why it's such a hassle, I'm not even bothered to contact my bank, all i wanted was Neverwinter Nights 2 D:
