My university's anime club has been watching Watamote, a show about a teenage girl who wishes to be popular. The problem is she's creepy, perverted, lacks any sort of social skills, etc. Every episode I'm finding this character both absolutely adorable and completely repulsive. Has something similar ever happened with you and a character?
Doctor Who companion Donna. If I met her in real life I would hate her guts, and she's super annoying. Yet at the same time there's something fun about the way she interacts with the Doctor that makes me consider her 10's best companion by far.
Love: Donkey Kong. Hate: Ultimate fan from Ultima 9.
Love: Samus Aran the silent badass, from Metroid I to Prime ]|[.

Hate: Samus Aran, the whiny monotone idiot as written by Sakamoto from Metroid: Other Franchise Killer.

Double face, because love and hate are two sides of the same coin :P

Love and hate?

Col. Hans Landa.
Sebastian LaCroix from Bloodlines. I hate him for being a manipulative double-crossing bastard, but I love him for the same reason.
There's this guy who try too hard to act "cool" by using a combination of Indonesian and mangled English. His way of speaking is hliarious because he tried his hardest to sound intelligent.

I can say he's that kind of guy we can love and hate. He can make us laugh at him but when he push it a little bit too far it pissed people off.
Sweet Tooth in Twisted Metal: Black. He is quite possibly the sickest, most evil clown ever yet... he is pretty badass in a strange way I can never put my finger on.
Love and Hate for Imoen from Baldur's Gate. She's great at what she does, but is oh so super annoying. Would love to find the voice over girl for her and make her record different things in place of the annoying "I care not", "Do you wanna tell me a story...", and the ever so wonderful "I've done had enough of this."

I've found no redeeming qualities in that shrew. I would have dropped her out of the TARDIS over an active volcano. But Rose what I would have done to that one, and I guess Mickey would have had to meet an unfortunate accident.
