Of course I don't actually want anyone to shoot Judas. :D

exitplanetdust: In the meantime, I added two temporary posts that a moderator should be able to move at the beginning of the thread, so I could split the OP in three smaller sections, working around the (potential) URLs number limit.
In all likelyhood, this is less than trivial. Removing a post is easy, but shoehorning one or more of them into an existing sequence of posts is probably not possible without a significant amount of work. Depending on how the data model is implemented, it may not be possible at all.

As I explained, I don't need that. All I need is that a moderator move two my empty (temporary) posts in the position immediately after the OP. So than I can split the OP content in three initial posts, working around the tag one-post limit.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. The OP is post#1. You want to have two empty posts moved to lie immediately after it as posts #2 and #3. However, posts #2 and #3 already exist. Given that the post number is most likely part of a combined unique key in the database table holding the posts, you can't simply shoehorn two posts in between #1 and #2, without changing the numbering of all the other posts in the thread. The database won't allow it.

exitplanetdust: Ok. If there is such a limit, a solution could be to add 2 posts (I can edit) after my open-post.
I would divide the content of the first one in the two sequent ones.
Could you Judas do this for me, please?

If you cannot do this directly, I could add 2 empty posts in queue in the current thread page... maybe you could move those after the open-post.
I can only remove posts as moving them around is way beyond my capabilities. I can recommend that you make new posts within that thread and just link to them, if possible, in the OP.

I am still waiting to find out about any sort of limits but I am not sure when I'll get that info :)

I wish I was, then I wouldn't have to spend all day looking for it.

I was a moderator of a forum, and I'm almost sure that forum offered the possibility to move posts inside a thread.
I thought it was a common function, but evidently it is not so.

In this case, Judas, could you remove post #2, post #3 and post #5?
I know it would not be a correct behaviour toward the authors of those posts, but if you read them you will realize that those posts lost any interest, since they referred to thread initial questions.

It probably is, in standard forum software. However, GOG does not use standard forum software. The GOG forum is developed in-house, don't ask me why. To me it would make more sense to focus on their core business, and use external software for standard functionality, but they appear to prefer to do everything themselves.

I can remove them, sure, but you still won't be able to slide in one of your own posts in the manner you describe :)

Evidently, I'm not good explaining my self.
I'm sorry.

Actually, after your explanations, I had no intention to "slide" anything.

I'm going to recap the work-around procedure I've got in my mind.
If you delete those "intermediate" posts, my thread will begin with three posts of mine (that is editable posts).
At that point, I will take the OP code, divide this original long code in three sections, leave the first section in the first post (the Opening Post), cut&paste the second section in the second post and the third section in the third post. Through this expedient, surely I won't have a long complete OP, however, my thread will start with all its content in its first page. In other words, I will have a "composite" OP, through three (sub)posts, instead of a single OP of a single post.

OK, have fun :) Posts removed at OP's request.

Thank you :)
After this compromise solution, my thread looks better than before XD.
