It bothers me that people think that this has anything to do with videogames in general or CounterStrike in particular. The only reason people believe CounerStrike/Videogames makes people violent is because the in-game altercation was the impetus for the violence. That doesn't mean the game caused violence though. The vast majority of people that play these games do not fly across the country and stab people. This kind of violent behavior could never be predicted from gameplay, yet people want to restrict or ban game sales because of events like this. These kind of people would be violent anyway. This is a personality problem. When Son of Sam said he killed people because his dog told him to, we didn't jump up and say "dogs are bad. Let's ban dogs!" No, that came from the ramblings of a crazy person, so we know better. Now another crazy person says he killed someone because of CounterStrike. We should be able to look at this the same way and not buy into the crazy person's rationale for murder. He stabbed this guy because he is crazy, not because he played CounterStrike.

Ois: Wouldn't be the first time someone has snapped over a game and driven across the country for some IRL revenge. Some people need serious help, and probably should not play competitive multiplayer.
