Elmodiddly: Now there is the best excuse recycled from an old DoW forum ! It doesn't cheat, you're just shit, I think was the reponse
Fenixp: Dunno, I've red it on some Czech DoW forums from players who looked pretty experienced... Still applies the fact about the patch, though :D
I'd like to ask you though, since you seem to know something about it - does it know your exact location? I mean, I've never seen computer scounting and, since I usually play on 1v1 maps, I don't really give a damn, but on big maps it always seems to find you... Just wondering.
Also, don't you know about replays of 2v2 battles against computer, or 2v2 tactics in general? I alone can beat insane, but when I play with my friend (about the same skill I'd say), we can easily take down hard, but, suddenly, have a VERY hard time destroying harder
The AI has no idea whatsoever, it has a similar fog of war to your own but it is adept, the same as an experienced player, on hard so will use scouts or just one unit, as soon as you appear on the radar it will scoot off away then probe again elsewhere so it can find you approximate location. Exactly what you, as a very good player, should be doing.
Whilst 2v2 sounds like you should have an easy time as you beat AI on Hard every time you ramp it up they get more adept as well. Maybe your limit is hard until you two learn to communicate and adopt war tatics such as feints etc. Send in two squads with jump packs to distract then hit them on the fringes as they are focusing on the diversion. Don't forget power and resources, grind them down. Some players also forget to set the engagement stances, weapon stances and reinforce options.
An all out attack is not always the best option and usually fails if the opponent is very good and is ready for you. Special abilities such as the SM bombardment is more usefull to temporarily hold off a mass of troops whilst you regroup or damage sets of generators and turetts. Other abilites affect morale, which while may seem weak, is invaluable to hand to hand units as they mop up the fleeing squads.
