Wow, why I have never seen this before? I love Dark Reign (my favorite RTS of all time), and apparently there is a Silverlight version available on the web. I played it, and it is amazing. The Silverlight version replicates the experience superbly, right in your browser (you can detach it from the browser and run it as a Silverlight app, if you wish).
Any thoughts on this, guys? I am thrilled!

Nice! I'll give it a go. I wonder how good Silverlight works. I've heard it easily beats Flash so if that's true, I can't wait for more apps to use that.
Does it need you to install DirectX 3?
Dark Reign you say? I remember good times with the demo (I never played the full game though).
I'll give it a try.
Really enjoyable game when it first came out. Liked the storyline to it. Cant remember completing it but had fun playing the game for sure.
not installing silverlight...
Speaking of Dark Reign, now that GOG has Activision, will we be seeing Dark Reign here?
Also, try the Silverlight edition guys. It is really impressive.

Now that the month of Activision has ended, does that mean no Dark Reign on GOG? :[

No, but it installs 100mb files to your drive before it'll play. last time I tried this (the other week) it was a beta....Only 3 levels or so playable. For now.

Yeah, it's Silverlight offline content, I believe.
That was a joke that anyone who has tried running the original game on modern systems should get.

Haha, I still have the CD somewhere, but I dare not install it on Windows 7.
Let me spoil it: The game is notorious for it's DirectX 3 requirement, it won't simply not install if you have anything more recent than DirectX 3, it will just tell you to update it and it'll end up in an endless loop.
