This game Darksiders basically feels like Zelda, God of War, and Devil May Cry all at once. Beyond that it truly is a fun game... until the boss fights, where they expect you to be perfect in everything you do.
As you play you'll notice that base game play is relatively easy, the monsters are not to hard and you can do combos only if you want. When mini bosses come out its just a matter of dodging and time. Eventually they die, if your lost hit select and summon navi.. err The Watcher..
Anyways its one of those go half way though the game/level then double back and use abilities, and then get a new piece of gear needed to defeat the boss and allow you though special parts of the game world. its very fun in that regard... a Zelda clone more then anything, but a Zelda that kicks ass.
My gripe about this game is the absolute massive jump in difficulty where stage bosses are concerned. I'm not by any means a hardcore gamer but Ive beaten GoW 1+2 and all the Devil May Crys, Prince of Persia's and Zelda's.. These games have a graceful boss curve that is manageable SAVE God of War that basically rapes your face when you meet Ares. Anyways I'm just appalled that game designers ramp up difficultly and make it so hard to defeat there creations in an American released game.
It feels at times like im playing Ninja Gaiden with the level of intensity this game requires. And the camera is quite possibly the worst camera in the history of action games. You literally need to keep moving it to keep it focused on the fighting field, yes you can lock on but then it'll suddenly zoom out and do some cinematic angle.
Anyways as it goes its a fun game and you may find yourself resetting half way though to easy just to complete the second part. Even on Easy the game really destroys you. Once you meet the final boss your going to need to buy a new controller, because it might get smashed to a million pieces on the floor. But i digress, if your really into blocking and have great timing then this game will pose no issue to you. It was frustrating as hell to breeze though the game only to be hit with brick walls when a boss appears. Be that as it may if you want it, wait for it to drop to sub $20
Hmm, I just borrowed it from a friend and was about to put it on, I've only seen one boss fight in it but that looked fairly easy, dodge the laser eyes whilst beating up the little flying bug things and then repeatedly ram a flatbed train car into the big monster thats too stupid to move a little to the right where it might be out of the way of your killer unblockable attack on rails.
well its a somewhat solid good game, but the difficulty seems to jump all over the place is all... I did enjoy it, but i needed to take breaks from it every so often... If your big into action adventures then you will have a good amount of fun
I wish this game came out for PC, or that I had a current gen system since I this game looked really neat.

Hey, guys, I have a "Mystery Code" about to expire for anyone who wants it. That means, a free Red Faction Guerrilla for Xbox 360 or PS3. Well, not exactly free (you have to pay $5 for shipping), but you know...
Is anybody from North America (including Canada & Mexico) interested?
gah, more regional restrictions!!!
I'd rather play this game than that sorry excuse for a game Dante's Inferno.
Can someone please explain to me how the poet transformed into a badass crusader? And when did Dante ever fight death?
Yahzee told you could do portals in this game.
