Well that was unexpected, but it seems the new owners really aim to NOT compete with Gog nor Steam.

At least by the look of this message I received upon trying to look at the "Steam Key" included in one of the freebies I got on Desura earlier: So first and most important - Goglodytes with a massive Desura hoard - Your voices may bring Gog keys to your games on Desura!
Second and not the least unimportant by itself, It also seems that the DRM-Free part of their statement Is already catered as they Highlight Direct Download with a complimentary frontend that wasn't there before the acquisition.

I'm actually very excited for Desura! Maybe for the first time since I joined them almost 3 years ago (just after I joined Gog) :)

I created a Desura account a couple of months ago, but was never very impressed by it to be honest. I was lured there by some interesting DRM-free freebies and stuck around. Their catalogue is a good example of why I like the GOG way regarding quality control, but I like that you are very close to the devs and there are some great gems to be found.

This seems like good news, but I think a lot will depend on the devs. We'll see.

Didn't want to make a thread for this question:

I was checking my bundle list for new games added and was thinking, since i don't actually use desura is it ok to make a thread dump with the desura codes?
It will be "ask-for-it" and not really dumping, but is it ok? Or is it dirty/immoral since i took the steam codes (in those cases that gives 2 codes).

This message has been there ever since I joined Desura (over a year ago) and I haven't seen any progress with GOG games there ever since.
