Hi there, on day one when GOG was promoting Galaxy and AVP to try out Galaxy with, I signed up as soon as I could since I was anxious to see how Galaxy worked, but unfortunately nothing happened. No Galaxy and no game. I did contacted support about it, staff said to be patient and I have recently contacted them again.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Same here. I signed up for it ASAP after te announcement and never got it nor any kind of confirmation email. I contacted support about it a while ago and did not get a reply at all.
I nearly missed my email because it was entitled:

"Welcome to the GOG Galaxy multiplayer beta with Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000!"

rather than a standard gift code kind of email / "order completed"
the good news is that you did not really miss out on any Galaxy test, is... well... wasn't...
Edit:

Apparently, I did receive an email that I missed. Very cool. As mentioned above, it wasn't spam for me, it was under Galaxy and Gmail routed it to the promotions tab instead of the normal inbox that GOG emails typically go to.

For a second you gave me hope that I maybe just overlooked it but I did a search for "galaxy" and sadly all I found was some spam telling me that I got a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy S4.

I feel so stupid. I found the email, but how do I get Galaxy.

Not only you. I though, hah, they released it and still I do not have the copy from the beta sign up. Then I read how Sachys nearly missed it and searched through my mail. I got it already in October, no idea how it could slip past me not noticing it.

The real Galaxy client isn't released yet. When you install AvP you get two shortcuts, one of them opens a launcher program that connects you to the Galaxy multiplayer stuff and allows you to launch AvP then. The other one is of course regular AvP.

There is / was no Galaxy Client with the AvP offer. Galaxy IS used but it's only the server side of things that was being tested, and not any UI / Client based test.

Basically the game installed with a "normal" Singleplayer.exe which you could use to play the game offline, but if you wanted to play "multiplayer" then you had to launch the Galaxy enabled Multiplayer.exe which gave both access to the normal single player game and multiplayer via the Galaxy based servers.

=)

Ed: F4LL0UT beat me to it!
