I mean other than the actual GOG download manager.
I'm currently in Afghanistan and my only internet is on shared computers. I've had some luck downloading through the browser but the problem is that there's only limited bandwidth and time to actually get decent speed. I can't install the GOG downloader because, as I said, these are shared, public computers that I don't have Admin rights for.
I'm specifically looking for a download manager that can be run from a thumb drive as a portable application or settings for how to set one up to work with GOG.
Thank you in advance for your help!
P.S. GOG is fantastic!

If I remember correctly, someone said that GOG uses random URLs for that, so no, not possible I think. Only the downloader they made would be able to do it.

That's not true, actually. I've been using IDM for a while without any problems, so I guess other managers should work too.
As far as I know IDM is not portable though, so it won't help blowhole69...

blowhole69: ...

If the games we're talking about aren't too huge and you can't find a solution, I could search my archive of games and if I happen to have it, upload it somewhere for you - of course, I would provide the link only to you and delete it right afterwards.

Actually, it is true that GOG produces a unique download link every time you download one of your games and that link expires after a certain amount of time. If you never stop and then resume a download, then you might not have a problem with some download managers, but most will have serious issues with resuming.
Opera`s builtin download manager can resume just fine (probably wont work if you wait too long to resume). And you can get Opera for USB Sticks aswell.

Hm, good to know.

I know IDM allows changing URL to files, so as long as a server allows resuming, it's possible to download one file from different links. I haven't tried it with GOG though...
