EndlessKnight: I've been using 0.74 with my GoG downloads since it was released and there have been no problems. All you do is copy the files from the 0.74 install into the "DOSBOX" folder located in your game's folder.
I really haven't noticed any difference so far, positive or negative.

Of course by merely doing that you're missing any new config options. Don't know if there are any for .74 from .73/.72 though.

I checked the old config file against 0.74, but there didn't seem to be much difference from the last. I wondered at that myself.

OGG support in DOSBox 0.74 are broken in Linux version. CD mounting in HOMM2 failed due to ogg tracks referenced in the cue sheet file. The windows version doesn't have this issue though. So I had to revert back to version 0.73.
