Does anyone know what's the deal with D2 and the regions it is available on Steam?

It is not available here, however I don't know whether it's a country or a continent issue, and I think the same happens on Gamer's Gate as well.

As far as I can tell the developers don't have a publishing agreement outside the Americas. So yeah regional restrictions.

Annoying that we can't get this in the UK. I really enjoyed the first Drakensang.

Too recent a game to get GOG interested? They've got all the other Dark Eye games here... why not the Drakensangs? :)

Actually Mexico and Brazil as well, according to steamprizes, not that it'd be much help, but... ;) Same here. A game developed in Germany and based on German IP is tricky (though not impossible) to obtain in Germany ;)
I wish there'd be a clear statement on the DrakenSang Steam forum concerning 'gifting' success/failure. Getting the rights might be incredibly tricky, given that the developers are bankrupt.
