Sorry for spamming this thread, just to toss in my last opinion, just done with the demo, I will definitely buy this game sometimes later with a lower price, I am cheap (and poor) like that.. ^^
'Reminds me of the Silent Hill series! 'Voted!
I loved the demo and I love Fatal Frame, so this game is high on my list to pick up, hopefully soon.

koima57: I think it's a firefly, in a small room with left out furnitures all over, the door has something written on it, and is located to the right of the school main door, very early in the demo.
It's been bugging me too.

The problem is that the pesky insect constantly interrupts Linda's actions because she instinctively starts flailing her arms about trying to get rid of it, but alas to no avail. You can't outrun it, you can't lock it in a room and the cat doesn't feel like chasing it.

Never mind the ghosts... it's the damn insect that has me living on my nerve ends.

the game is good but not even close to a fatal frame :(
You use a cellphone as a camera and use it as a weapon that's the only thing in common with fatal frame...

talking about fatal frame, I think I'm going to play 1 again :D

Funny thing is, on their Indiegogo fundraiser they advertised it as DRM-free...

I was merely joking. :)

I just did a quick search and found the following comment:
Peter: This is really, really awesome. I can't believe it's finally getting released! Will there still be a DRM-free version available?

Dreadoutgame: sure peter, yes it would available after our steam version, but we’re hoping you guys understand about our decision on Steam version first, since they can facilitate an easy update for iterating our game, while we find it very difficult for non Steam version to do that

Oh, it was a spirit bug!

Now, how on earth was I supposed to know that?!
According to Twitter the DRM-Free version might be released in December.

I really hope it comes to GOG.
I hope the DRM free version is released in December. I'm going to buy Dreadout, but only the DRM free version because I do love the Fatal Frame series, more 1 and 2 than the rest. I'm also look forward if Nintendo of Tecmo will release the 5th Fatal Frame game in the U.S. If not, I'm sure there will be a translation patch released for it just like with Fatal Frame for had on the Wii.
Buy Fatal Frame.

This game just really fills the gap / hole players want for scary game. It does offer some unique experience, but as a whole you can see the low quality results because of low budget.
