Tarm: That's a scary thought.

Wolfox: And it sounds about right. It would explain why EA pulled the plug on the Ultima IV freeware downloads recently.
Well even if it means that we only get the Ultima games now EA is onboard.

Wishbone: All I can say is that, if it turns out tomorrow that it is neither EA, nor LucasArts, then it doesn't really matter who it is, most people will be disappointed by now. I think sometimes the rampant speculation GOG fosters with these hints can have a detrimental effect once the announcement is actually made.
Yeah, I know I'm gonna be heavy dissapointed if it's not LA, but I'm interested anyhow to see what it it is. It's gotta be big with all this mystery....

If it truly is EA, it's a double bonus. EA is arguably (one of) the largest player(s) in the PC market, which means that once they sign up, the rest of the "missing" publishers (most notably LucasArts) won't be far behind. Combine that with the staggering number of fantastic IPs in EA's stable, and it's definitely jeans-creaming time.

Chant it with me: "Origin, Bullfrog, Origin, Bullfrog..."

You forget Westwood Studios!

Dune 2, Command & Conquer, Legend of Kyrandia, Blade Runner and more!

bazilisek: The font screams Diablo. No other game I know of made such heavy use of a very similarly looking typeface.
avatar
StingingVelvet: I really cannot imagine Blizzard coming to GOG, they're not even on Steam. It fits Dungeon Keeper just as well too.
GOG said in an interview they would look into it later..wanted to take care of the Activision side first.

Ask Vagabond ;-)

I have to admit, I don't care at all about Maxis. They have made nothing I want.
Stars could be any number of EA titles. Including Wing Commander, yes, but also including anything from System Shock 2 to Crusader to Spore.

I don't know anything about EA games with outlaws, but Road Rash seems to be the common guess there.

Fear your past is certainly System Shock 1, remember you're the hacker who fucked SHODAN up to start with.

Underworld could be any of the Ultima Underworld games. I think EA had a couple other games too that would fit here.

Monsters is definitely Dungeon Keeper.
Heyyo,

It's awesome EA is on here... but definitely needs to be more horny...

Yeah, I'm at a loss with that. Did EA publish Leisure Suit Larry? Also, didn't EA release C&C: Tiberian Dawn and C&C:RA1 as freeware before?
Or the big ass horns on the dude on the disc, maybe?
Magic carpet 2, i played this game to the death, great great game
