I've had my eye on this for what seems like forever. Any idea if the dev is considering a GOG release?

Looks great, Zelda 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, I love it soo much. I have been wanting a remake or a game that is like it for all my life. It doesn't look like it has the, what I thought to be very deep sidescroller sword combat, but still looks good!

Also, this game is not 8-bit. It's retro but not 8-bit ^^
Not interested, i don't like that kind of retro, myself but it's always good to see kickstarter projects completed.

I know everyone has their own opinions, but it is NOT the worst sequel ever. It's just different, and that is a good thing! :)

That's a matter of opinion. ;)

Yes and no. I'm not judging the quality of the game but the fact that it IS a sequel. Sequels that totally change the core concept and gameplay ?? I don't like those. When i'm buying a sequel...i basically want more of the same, with a few improvements here and there, new story, etc. Zelda 2 could have had any other name and a quick change in the names and not have suffered from it on an overall quality level. So yeah...bad sequel... maybe a good game, i just wasn't interested in it.

I've been playing this a bit. I figure I'm 25% through.

I'm more impressed as I play. It is like the games when I was young (Zelda and the like), but I got frustrated easily with those games. This one seems to clear up some of the problems that plagued the games of my youth.

Navigation - the art style is done well enough that it is not (yet) too confusing as to where I am and where I am trying to get to.

Difficulty - the progression of difficulty is smooth.

New toys - the introduction of new gameplay mechanics is well paced.

I'm having fun!
