Grargar: For some reason, I'm having the deja vus. Didn't you ask that question in a previous giveaway? I think yes and I think that I answered with something like Dumas, Verne and Wells being among my favourite authors. These being classic authors, though, I'd like to bring attention to a less known author; Yevgeny Zamyation and his novel, We, a dystopian piece of work predating the likes of 1984, Animal Farm and Brave New World. It can be a pretty weird, but fascinating at the same time, novel.

Thank you for your generous giveaways as usual and will debate with myself as to whether I should enter, not enter or enter for someone else.
I have asked about books before :)
I ask again as I am always looking for new books to try and we have more people answering now ;)
I'll be in for the fedora bundle! Thanks for another amazing giveaway trentonlf! +1 for sure!

I've been reading a few things. I generally have a couple of books on the go - a fiction and noon-fiction. For fiction I've been working my way through Nelson Demille's John Corey series. I'm working on The Panther.

For non-fiction I'm reading Pierre Berton's Marching As To War.

Not in but thanks for the giveaway.
Im in ... shadowrun dragonfall director's cut would be my choice, its $9.99 right now, but if i win and its not $9.99 anymore ill pick something else

About the books ... maybe they are a bit old if you read a lot, but i read jon stewart's and colbert's books this year and they are such a fun read. I would recommend any of them

Thanks for the giveaway
I'm in for Warlords: Battlecry, Warlords: Battlecry 2, and Sword of the Samurai.

On the subject of books, I've been playing StarCraft lately, so I decided to go back and read the one novel in the series that I had yet to actually read through: StarCraft: Uprising. All in all, it was a pretty good book. A bit short, and since it's a prequel, it felt kind of predictable with the ending, but it was well written. Still, hard to recommend it to anyone that isn't a fan of the game series.

Crewdroog: But what if I want a bundle worth 7.99 and a game worth 2.00? Or maybe I want nothing because I am not in, and apparently the "I am a GA addict" t-shirt has taught you nothing! ;)

I typically am not into Sci-fi books, rather I'll read boring ol' stuff like Jane Eyre or Johnny Got His Gun (yes my tastes in books swings drastically). However, two of my all-time favoritest books evah are sci-fi. They are Dune and Hitchhiker's Guide. I've read these books, good lord, I don't even know how many times now. They have never gotten old or boring, and each time I read them, I discover something new.

Lately though? No I haven't really read any books I've liked. Although, I am re-reading my old Calvin and Hobbes books if those count. I am enjoying them a lot.

wy4786: Have you read The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde?
No, but I have read Wide Sargasso Sea, which is Bertha's side of the story, and one of my favorite books.

MarioFanaticXV: Can we wait until the final sale is up before deciding what we want? I can't remember most of the bundles, but would very much like to enter.

Just state you are in and modify your post to state what bundle when they are listed ;)
Wow, thanks for the awesome giveaway. I'll be in for Sam & Max Bundle.

Talking about books, I've recently read The Universe in a nutshell a divulgative book of Stephen Hawking. It's not sci-fi but actual science, but if you like sci-fi and you are curious you will like it. It's a divulgative book so you don't need to have any previous knowlege about cosmology or relativity, and is not too difficult for the topics. It gives you a scientific view, but trying to be simple, about relative theory, black holes, worm holes, time travels,... So maybe if you liked Interestellar and want to know more about the physics behind it, give it a try.
I'm in for the Eschalon bundle. Very generous of you, as always, for the GA.

I was chatting with a friend a couple weeks ago about The Far Side comics & ended up borrowing one of their books from the library. Hilarious stuff! The specific comics that I mentioned to her were the Boneless Chicken Ranch and Howdy howdy howdy.

I'm in for the Tex Murphy bundle

Haven't been reading any books lately, university is keeping me busy and most of my free time is spend with a friend or with videogames.
EDIT: Not in!

For books, I have to HIGHLY recommend the Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne. Official Site

Here's a quote from the front of the books:

"A page-turning and often laugh-out-loud-funny caper through a mix of the modern and the mythic." - Air Marmell, author of The Warlords Legacy

From that, you probably gathered (correctly!) that these books are urban fantasy - not my usual literary fare, as I tend to lean more towards pure fantasy.

Mr. Marmell is not kidding when he says, "laugh-out-loud-funny". The series is rife with a humor that never feels forced. Kevin Hearne sucked me in immediately, and after the first paragraph, all I could do is stare in surprise, then burst out laughing. The first word that came to mind to describe the writing style was "delightful", and that feeling has persisted throughout the series.

The story centers around the last real, bona fide druid on Earth, who is living in today's society with 2,000+ years' worth of life and memory. All of the assorted gods are real, from the Norse to the Roman to the Greek and any other god you can imagine... and one in particular has a grudge against our mighty druid... a grudge that no one seems to want to let our protagonist forget.

Add in vampires, witches, werewolfs, demons, a saucy elderly Catholic woman, and our druid's entertaining weakness to the mix, and you have the very beginning of Iron Druid Chronicles.

For the gist of the writing style we're talking about, for the enjoyment of it, and to hopefully pique your interest enough that you just have to go and find out more about this series, following is the first paragraph of book #1, Hounded:

There are many perks to living for twenty-one centuries, and foremost among them is bearing witness to the rare birth of genius. It invariably goes like this: Someone shrugs off the weight of his cultural traditions, ignores the baleful stares of authority, and does something his countrymen think to be completely batshit insane. Of those, Galileo was my personal favorite. Van Gogh comes in second, but he really was batshit insane.
Warning for those who care about such things:

There is quite a lot of swearing throughout the books. I'm not one who enjoys or tends to use foul language, but in this case, it really goes with the flow of the story, and is not offensive (to me) at all.

Finally, if the idea of Jesus sitting at a restaurant bar, drinking good Irish whiskey with a pagan druid is offensive to you, these books are not for you ;D
