i'm still getting this problem "Error:Game not installed" ...
searched online and found open the game from the shortcut is the solution ...
tried to open it from Start Menu shortcut and the desktop one but nothing changed ...
please help me out ... : (

You are not very clear .... but did you try to install your game in 'Program Files' (or your windows equivalent ... provided you are using Windows). You might want to use a non-system partition to install your games, just to be sure.
this happened to one game? try downloading and install it again

"Error: Game not installed" usually happens when you try to run a DOSBOX configuration on its own instead of using the shortcut from the start menu. The configurator expects a parameter (DOSBOXConfig GOGQUESTFORGLORY1) and if you don't provide the parameter (or the parameter can't be found in the registry), it says that it can't find the game.
So, a bit more info if you please. What game are you trying to configure? Are you trying to configure the game or run it? Did you mess with the registry?

On the sub forum it is said that if you have loading issues, there is a possible workaround if you switch the graphic mode to direct draw (try to launch a settings.exe or something like that in your game folder).

Sidenote : when you experience a bug, just head to the related subforum first, you may have answers or at least visibility over there. Then try to explain your issue a bit better from the start and a quick word about your config can be usefull (you did better at your second shot, but we don't know which windows you use yet). People here are willing to help, just help them help you. And if you don't have immediate answer try to contact the support, I heard they're great ;)
