i downloaded fallout 1's high-res patch, but i can't seem to get it to work. im kind of a newb at these things. anyway, the readme suggested i extract the patch to the Fallout installation folder, which it noted as C:\Program Files\Interplay\Fallout... however, the "interplay" folder did not exist in program files, only GOG.COM/fallout. so, naturally, i installed it there instead.
ok, so i installed the patch, loaded up the game, and the readme said to change the resolution by clicking on the "options" button in the main menu. this button does not exist O_o
im pretty sure i followed the directions to the tee... the only thing i can think of is i extracted the patch into the wrong folder, but im not sure which folder would be the correct to install to.

Try to get to the game itself and access options from menu in there.

i looked in there as well, and nothing... just the normal game options, and nothing actually labeled "options"... just "preferences"
Oh, right.. I know that in Fallout 2, it was put under visual options or something like that... Well, simply put, it was dug somewhere awkward. Of course, I can't really comment on Fallout 1 since I have this patch only for F2.
wow. i figured it out. im stupid. that's all i have to say lol
