macuahuitlgog: I'm against people wanting to create a black hole on earth for an obvious reason. But I haven't done any real research on the Large Hadron Collider. I've only read some articles so I could be wrong with "a black hole on earth".
Do you know that thousands of billions of microscopic black holes are created every day naturally? And that they instantly die?
Also do you know that the rumours of causing a black hole came (from what I remember) from the other institute (the american one) that is trying to discover (or infirm the theory) the Higgs Boson as well but don't have an accelerator that big?
Also do you know, that these rumours are basically bullshit and that if a black hole were to actually create there would be even anything to worry about (because it already happens everyday...),

Welcome to the club. I happily inform you that the earth was destroyed back in 2008. But this does cause future planning to slow down.
Holy crap, that was a great read.
