I was actually surprised not to already see these games on GOG, when games around the same era are pretty fleshed out.

It combined classics such as Pool of Radiance, Eye of the Beholder, Dungeon Hack, etc. Basically very old DOS based RPGs.

On a quick search through amazon I'm not easily finding the Gold pack anymore.. though they do have a slightly newer Forgotten Realms Archives- Silver Edition, which has many of the same games.

Anyone else remember these old cRPGs?
I sure do and still have these games. Though I no longer can play them. Commodore 64 games I have along with the days of Apple. OS 9 is the last os to play these classics.

I hope GoG.com will be able to get these games for I would be first in line ot buy them. Again. :p
Yep, I played Eye of the Beholder series and Dungeon Hack through DOSBox... uh... a few years ago I think...

Well if you own them its probably okay (ethically if not legally) for you to download an emulator like ccs64 and the disc images of those games and play them that way

2 months or so ago for me :)
Love my Forgotten Realms Silver pack!
Don't forget Curse of the Azure Bonds. A great game.
Hillsfar!
I only remember that because of the minigames though.
But the EotB series would be awesome (and an instant buy).
Same goes for the Ravenlofts and Menzoberranzan of course.
I would also love to physically get those boxsets again, mine got lost during a move :(
I rather GoG.com gets here and I buy to show support for old classic games like these.

Though I do have a C64 emulater it's just not the same. I rather have my old C64 back or even better. The Amiga!
Look what I have!

Wasn't a Pool of Radiance remake released less than 10 years ago? I think it was buggy as heck, but still...

Or am I just too drunk/ sleep deprived/ demented?

It was a sequel. First game to use the 3rd edition rules. Unpatched, if you uninstalled it, it could delete system files along with it.

One of the worst games to carry the Dungeons & Dragons name, but yeah. If you want a 3rd edition D&D experience you'd really, really, really be better off with Neverwinter Nights 1 or 2, or Icewind Dale 2 (which was really more like D&D 2.9 than 3.0) or...most anything, really.

And if we get the old SSI AD&D games (of which I own 17 - I know, I'm lame) I want DARK SUN! Even many people who remember the gold box series forget the two Dark Sun games, probably just because the first one didn't sell much and the second one was terribly buggy on release. Ah, well. ^_^

That was PoR: Ruins of Myth Drannor, not the same game. In addition, it sucked.
The SSI games are owned by Ubisoft now. Surprising they don't release them on GoG as other old Ubisoft holdings have been.
I would easily pay to have this pack again. I think I still have it stored away in some dusty old box, but I would pay for the convenience of having everything set up through dosbox already via GOG.com etc.
