Siannah: But maybe you would consider guessing how many of those 3104 leechers on day one where Linux users? Or is that too much straw around the needle?
Clearly, it's over nine THOUSAAAAAAAAND!!

avatar
Siannah: b) did they drop support? No. Is it unusual to take off buggy versions, getting back to work on it and re-release them later? At least it shouldn't be. Did they promise the same release date for all versions? Not that I know of.
It is completely irrelevant what that did, what they are doing or what they plan to do.
Someone said there was a demo. There wasn't. It's that simple. I refuted a single assertion with 3 words and screenshot. You know, evidence to back those three words up.

It has nothing at all to do with how many pirate copies were because of a lack of demo, or how many were Linux users. Someone said something that was incorrect, I corrected them on that single point. I didn't even say I disagreed with them! Just that they were incorrect on that one point.

Siannah: I wasn't aware that there was a Linux version available on TPB. My fault, should have checked facts - therefor I gladly take my words back and apologize.

But of course you probably have the data to back those claims up? Something along the line of how many linux-versions gotten downloaded and how many tried to get the demo first? If not, you're the one pulling on straw.....
Why would I need the data to back it up? I didn't make that claim or anything even remotely like it. That would have been.. you. How odd.

You are bringing a weak argument to the table, claiming that it represents my views and then attacking that weak argument to prove me to be incorrect.

And once again, for the last time, I apologize. You clearly spoke the truth. In a tabloid like way with a short headline (3 words) which was correct for exactly 1/3 of the whole story, with everyone having to click on that screenshot to actually get the complete picture.
Your cunning art of spreading half-truths and proclaiming could-have-beens gotten the better of me. I shall go meditate on it, so it won't happen again, master.

The only people who needed to click the screenshot would be people who don't just blindly trust my word and require some evidence for claims. I used a screenshot instead of just linking to the page because that page can (and will, I presume) change. A screenshot shows the page as it was when I made my statement.

So, pray tell, how would you have provided evidence that there wasn't a demo that wouldn't require an external source? Copy/paste the HTML?

One day you too shall learn the art of being succinct when making a point and then having someone put words in your mouth, give fake apologies, be sarcastic and believes exactly 0.3(recurring) is equal to 0.5.
When will this be coming here?

Nobody knows.

To be honest, there are at least 121 other games I'd rather see here first before this gets added.

Not because I don't like it, I just feel there are better games that should get in line before it.

Like Railroad Tycoon II.
