Well, title says it all...

Has anybody played the" Game of Thrones"-RPG?
How is it? (Story, length, any bigger bugs)?
Is it comparable to other (Action-) RPGs, if yes - which ones?

Thanks for your answers in advance.
Much appreciated.
I got it but was really disappointed. It was marketed as a Dragon Age game but it isn't even close really, the only interesting thing I found was the combat.

I can't even remember the story - but I do know it was really dull. I can only recommend it if you're a fan of RPGs, but as a Game of Thrones fan? No...

Thanks for the reply.
I'd say, I am more a RPG-fan, than a GoT-fan.

So, maybe I should have had that more clear right from the start: I'm not asking, whether this is a good GoT-RPG...I'm asking, if this is a good RPG.
Thought the exact opposite, I found the combat tedious and the story good. Sure, compared to the books and TV series it's not up to par, but compared to what we tend to get in RPGs, it's done well. Given the doom and gloom I'd heard going into it, I came out pleasantly surprised.
I agree with Gonchi, the game is nowhere near as bad as people say it is, and while the combat is serviceable but nothing exciting, the story and characters are pretty good and true to the atmosphere of the books.

Overall, it's a decent RPG, imo, although the quality goes up and down a few times.
I didn't notice any bugs, just be sure to install the latest patch.

It's supposed to be turning up in a Focus Humble Bundle / weekly sale before too long so you might want to wait for that if you're considering buying it...

Oh,...nice to know...thanks for the heads up!
Do you know for sure it is coming in a HB, because it is on Gamersgate right now in a Focus Weekend Sale.

Not that I need to buy it now, anyway.
Backlog's long enough.

Gabably i agree :)

The combat system can be sum up like this : it's Max Payne's 'bullet time' which meet a RPG :P

one word "shit"
I quite liked the story in the game, especially how it plays out towards the ends. True to the form of the books, the game is pretty darn tragic when all is said and done.
The game to me is reasonably good, except for some weird reason the camera is a bit jerky and has a tendency to go to the side of the character for no reason at all.
And if you have a steam account get the steam version if possible as I believe all other version have limited activation's and limited revocations.
