I'm a long time member at GOG.com and have bought dozens of games that have accompanied me in my youth.
Especially the games Gabriel Knight 1, Simon the Sorcerer and the Fallout series, which I last played many many years ago, have raised countless memories.
In short: I would be interested to know how old most of the "gog-users" are.
I'm 29 years old and I look forward every Tuesday and Thursday on new publications.
20 in two weeks broski. I felt like I should play these games because they are part of my legacy as a PC gamer, I used to read about them in magazines. I never got to try any of them before GOG, though, because I was too young when they came out.

I'm 27, and have been a PC gamer for about 20 years.
I tended to go for new games until around the late 90s, when I started to look for any classic games I'd missed. I'm glad that GOG has provided a legitimate way to get my hands on those sorts of games, and I would hope that a lot more content is provided through this site.
21 here, and been a PC/Console gamer for as long as I could use a mouse or controller. Believe my first console was the Sega Genesis. The first PC game I ever beat was the amazing Shooter/RPG Strife. (Great game BTW)
Love these old games, which (In my mind) often are a hell of a lot better than the new stuff coming out. I remember playing Doom and Duke Nukem 3D along with Heretic. Those got me into gaming (Even though Doom scared the hell outta me as a kid)

I'm 18, and my father introduced me to PC gaming, though he's not much of a gamer. I believe the first game I ever played was Stunts on DOS, and then a whole bunch of others such as Maddog McCree, MegaRace, the Star Wars classics, and Quake. I was really amazed to see MegaRace on sale here at GOG, though I haven't purchased it. Even though I still have the original disc, I am considering it simply for compatibility.
22 here, but for some reason I've always preferred older music, games and books. Heck, I read Ender's Game when I was 10. Loved Betrayal at Krondor so much I started reading Feist's Riftwar books. Sometimes I wish there were still games made like that, with such an intense focus on story, character and art. Less of these horridly expensive graphical engines. All the shaders and bumpmapping in the world can't replace the detailed, timelessly endearing work of a competent artist.
I think the ancient games were created with much more love for detail and story. Today, apparently, only the graphic is crucial. In my opinion, System Shock 1 is one of the games which should appear on gog soon. It is one of the games that I played in my youth with many friends. That was one of the games that did not have the best graphics, but had a convincing atmosphere and an excellent gameplay.
26 this summer. Windows gamer since fall '99, before that I played what I could get to run on the old Macintosh I had (the Performa 475 was meant as a "cheap" machine when it was introduced in '92, I got it in '94 and it was my primary machine until '99... so, yeah, not too much software was built for it by that time).
Still, I played Warcraft 2, Myst, Shufflepuck, SimCity 2000, some text adventures I can't for the life of me remember the names of to which I drew maps and took notes on paper. I remember some skiing game, some pinball game, and there were surely some others, I don't remember any specific FPS games but there ought to have been a couple there as well. Starcraft, Riven, Diablo, and Quake all required a PowerPC processor, so they wouldn't run at all.
The first high-profile games I played on my own Windows machine were Age of Empires 2, Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun, and Half-life and its then-in-development Counter-strike mod.
The only consoles I have owned are a NES (foolishly sold it sometime in the mid-90's) with 4 games or so (Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, Duck Hunt, and MegaMan 2 are those I remember having), an original Gameboy (can't find it anywhere, but I'm still pretty sure I didn't sell it) with a single game (Q-bert), and now an Xbox 360 with a few games.

Boy do I feel old (47) to be exact. I remember my first game experiance was in fist grade and our class was set up with a teletype machine and telephone coupler modem to the nearby university. We were allowed to play an Oregon Trail type game. We would type in the answers and then the text would come back and print out for us on the teletype machine.
33 in September here. My first gaming experience was with game and watches my parents bought me when I had good grades in school. I still have the Macross one !
But my first experience of computer gaming was on my CPC 464 (the one with the tape reader), with games like Manic Miner or Jet Set Willy
In the early 90s I had a Nintendo Game Boy with the game "Tetris." Later I got a SNES with the games, "Aladdin," "Super Mario World" and "Zelda". (I will never forget the SNES-era any more.)
Years later I got a 468er PC with the games "Mad TV" and "Leisure Suite Larry 1-2. My first "FPS" was "Duke Nukem 3D," "Blood" and "Shadow Warrior". I will never forget the time.
16...a member for a year in may I believe....Can't really see atm...
First system was a SNES, game was Lufia II: Rise of the Sinestrals...I was 5.
Got a Gameboy Color when I was 6...
My neck hurts...
I <3 GOG!
Now, please hurry up and get Ubisoft to give you guys XIII. =)
27 here, and I've been gaming in some form for around 22 of those years, starting on an old Apple IIe, a few years spent playing on friends' NES systems, then moving into DOS games on a 386SX system around 1989. However, my gaming was fairly limited up until around 2000 (parents put pretty strict controls on how much time I could spend gaming, which in hindsight I thank them for), so I missed out on quite a few good games in the late 80s and 90s. Fortunately GOG now gives me the opportunity to play many of those games that I missed.
27, gaming for about 25 years. Although at the age of 2 it was more mashing buttons and keys on the C=64 than playing anything :) Went on to devour many adventure and RPG games.
Being a generation or two behind for most of it (parents could not afford much, I had no job) has meant I've been stuck with slightly older games, generally playing at medium to low settings. When I did get around to getting a reasonably high end PC last year, I've not purchased anything that even come close to using the power it has.
I blame GOG, while there's much here I already own, the 'to play' pile of stuff I have is about 30-40 titles and tends to grow.
I'm almost 25 and I've started my gaming career when I was ~4 years old with Prince of Persia on my ol' good 386. Later I've played games like Doom, Duke Nukem 3d, Simcity, The Lost Vikings, etc.etc.
In 1997 I've found demo of Heroes of M&M2 on a CD from a local gaming magazine and it was something epic. While gaming I was improving mah English skillz and that helped me in school (and in fact I can't stand translated games now, they lose their original feeling and sometimes the translation just plain sucks).
