What's with the people suggesting games that have been released only in the last year? Do they not understand the concept behind this website?
EDIT: sorry I didn't see the similar thread below this one... so let's change this thread to something else.. like...... umm.... ....
.... damn it...

Maybe discussion of these new games will help spark interest in a GOG: "If you like XYZ then you'll probably like ABC, available here on GOG for $5.99." Either way, we're all gamers so discussion of games beyond the scope of the current catalog is inevitable.

Makes sense, you do however see the same person suggest the newer games. They're either a tad slow, or think they can score the new Splinter Cell game for 5 bucks.
Why are there New/Unreleased Games on the Wishlist?
Its a wishlist, people are going to put on it what they wish to see on GOG someday, even if they are new or unreleased games. The GOG team members who review the list are intelligent enough to determine which items on the wislist are reasonable requests and which are not.
From the FAQ.
It always pays to plan ahead so it gives the GOG team a feel for what gamers want as future GOG games.
Things like what publisher that they'll go for if they're deadlocked with a old one and so forth.
some X-COM UFO Defense
i would love to see all id Software stuff here, like The Ultimate Doom all the way through Doom 3, including Hexen, Heretic, and Hexen 2. maybe even Wolfenstein 3D. could go as far back as Commander Keen though...
I want Wing Commander I, II, III, IV and V !

While I totally agree with you I have to draw the line with Modern Warfare 2, Mass Effect 2 and Assasins Creed 2. That's just taking the piss.
True. It CAN go too far. :P
Temple of Elemental Evil.
Much like Arcanum before GOG picked it up, this game has disappeared completely from any place I can find. A shame, since I'd love to buy it.
